Software leaves to be desired
· Review provided by digitec.ch · December 3, 2022
The CPU performance is very good, so there is barely any waiting for the system to respond.

The negatives concern bugs, defects and poor UI design choices:
- The [OnePlus] camera app forces to use [OnePlus] Photos instead of Google Photos – otherwise you cannot quickly open the last photo taken. (Disabling [OnePlus] Photos merely causes a popup telling to reactivate it.) Then both apps use a trash bin for deleted photos, meaning that you have to delete photos separately from both apps. (The Google Camera app is not available.)
- Black text on white has a slightly brighter white outline below the text. (This has also been documented online by other sharp-eyed users.)
- At 20% battery remaining, an obligatory popup shows telling you to charge your phone. As if users didn't monitor their battery level.
- The *#*#4636#*#* phone dialer code for displaying technical information on the cell networking module does not work (you have to download a separate app to use as a shortcut).
- Several default apps have duplicates due to the OnePlus variants next to the Google variants. Some can be uninstalled, some can be disabled, and some cause issues like the gallery app mentioned above as well as "Log in to Red Cable Club" showing up at the top of settings even after being disabled.
- Opening an app in settings (e.g. via "show app info" from launcher) does not give the option to directly go to its Google Play store page for updating or reviewing.
- The lock screen only shows highest priority notifications and does not allow swiping down to see all notifications as is usually customary on Android (12).
- Digital Wellbeing grayscale is not applied on the lock screen.
- etc.
Great midrande phone with nice design

Hello I have recently bought the OnePlus nord 2t 5g 8/128 GB phone and i am very satisfied. It has a reasonable price and excellent specs which comes with it. It shouldn't be compared with flagship phones of other brands but for sure it is a innovative brand with well respected functions and characteristics. One above all the screen and sound quality, the lower weight and the completeness of the delivery box with screen protector and plastic cover. Excellent choice, i recommend it again and again!

Good Points: Light weight, thin design, good speed, fast change

Improvement Points: This particular phone broke after 3 weeks of use. Notification led light would be nice. The battery life on this particular device was poor. Screen quality not good on this particular phone. Alarm clock could be improved.
Missing adequate charger

Phone is as described, but it was shipped with an old charger from a sony Ericson phone! Technically it could charge the phone, but took 8 hours, rather than 1 hour the official charger takes.

Support claimed that as it could charge the phone it was adequate.

Kept the phone but had to pay £40 of my own money to buy the correct charger. As quick charge is a key selling point of this phone, I view the correct charger as an "essential accessory", not just any old charger found in the back of a cupboard.
